Late spring has brought these Common Sandpipers in the river near my flat into fever. The couple you see below was very active in chasing and displaying all through the afternoon, while several other individuals nearby were still quite lazy. These small birds are difficult to approach but I did try my best.

You're right Common Sandpipers are difficult to approach. You got much better pictures than mine = nil.
Those Common Sandpiper images look great! I can't wait to see your Tattlers when you post them.
These are cool shots, I love the low angle. I guess you were crawling in the sand and the results are just gorgeous! Splendid!
Nice stuff, the waders are hitting northern Japan now, hope I get some shots as good as these!
