After the semi-snowstorm of subtropical Kyushu during Thursday and Friday, yesterday had been calm and sunny once again. It was very cold in the morning with chilly wind but the sky was so blue and the sun looked pretty that I couldn't resist walking up to Beppu Koen to get some shots. There was still snow on the ground but only a little, yet not so normal for here. It seemed like the temperature was too low that people tended to keep staying inside their houses despite this wonderful sunshine. The normally crowded park suddenly looked a bit empty. Birds were not active but there were many new comers, mostly thrushes. Anyway, it's a bit sad that the wind had got stronger around 10am and ended up being too strong that I almost felt like I could be blown away, so I just had to walk back home.
