Striped & Striated

These Striated Bulbuls (Pycnonotus striatus) were very busy feeding on some kind of fruiting trees just near by the soldier camp at Doi Angkang last week. Almost half of the them were immature birds which the throat was still whitish-yellow. These bulbuls are common and in good number yet very wary and hard to photograph. Hunting still exists here in Thailand making birds generally secretive and easily scared away. I had to wait for quite a period for these birds to finally come down to the fruiting tree again after being flushed as I walked in.
