These shots were taken about a week ago at Rokushou-en. The same flock of Whimbrel was still presenting well as usual. I counted exactly 10 birds in the flock. Other normal stuffs like Grey-tailed Tattler, Common Sandpiper and Little Ringed Plover were also showing.
Fortunately, the sun showed up briefly when this small group flew closer to me.

A scruffy looking Little Egret
The birds later came to the shore to find food.
There were lots of crabs along these rocks and the birds seemed to be greatly enjoyed.

I just noticed that the middle tattler in the foreground has a green leg flag. After I checked with this website, it turns out that the bird was flagged in Queensland!

Great set of images! Congrats on seeing a bird banded in QLD! You can report sightings of birds banded in Aus at the AWSG site; http://www.awsg.org.au/reportform.php

Thank you very much!
I've sent the data of the bird.
You got some nice Whimbrel shots there, esp the one with the crab.....
Thanks Stu!
Because of the crabs, these birds became brave enough to come closer to me.
