Eurasian Skylark

Some old photos once again! Eurasian Skylark (Alauda arvensis) is one of the few species I used to take lots of photos of while living in the university's dorm. There are often a pair or two feeding around in the football field in the campus. In spring, its sweet song can be heard even when I'm in a lecture room.
Male bird with the higher crest?

This one didn't seem to fluff up its crest at all.

I'm quite getting into digging my old photos in the HD once again and I think I'll be uploading more of them here. Looking through old photos really makes me feel surprise about how many species of birds I have seen through all these 10 or 11 years, especially in Thailand. I even forgot that I have taken some of them already. Currently, Thailand has about 1,000 species of birds. I checked my Thai bird list and it currently stops at 713. I still have 300 more to go hehehe.

Excellent. I got to be nervous with these larks and ID them especially in Morocco where you have the crested and the Thekla... I found them quite similar ;-)

Good pictures Ayuwat, but I agree the one without the crest does look a bit odd.
