Mud Collecting Season

The Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica) have been back for quite a long while and now it seems like their mud collecting season has officially started once again. These shots were taken yesterday at Rokushou-en. About 3 swallows came down to the river bank to get some mud for their nests.
This Grey-capped Greenfinch just came down to drink water though.

Wonderful photographs as usual. You've been very busy. I'll have work to do to catch up with all your posts. Keep up the good work.

Hahaha sorry about uploading too many entries.
But I go out taking photos very often recently. There are still loads of unprocessed image lying in my hard disk, so I think there's gonna be many more. BTW, I'll try slow my speed in publishing new entries down, Russell. :-)

I usually have to wait until July to see House Martins collecting mud (to reinforce their nests I guess).
