The Last Whimbrels

I think it's about time to clear up my stocks. I've processed these photos of Whimbrels since several weeks ago and I think now all the birds should have already headed north. These are the best shots of Whimbrel I've got so far. The birds were much more approachable during my last visit and I can stop taking photos of Whimbrel for a long while.
These waders always stop and watch when a crow or Black-eared Kite flies by.

Crabs again

Thanks Stu!
Last autumn I only went birding around seashore 2 or 3 times. What I found last year were only Grey-tailed Tattlers. This year I'll try to be more active. Like this spring, I got lots of new birds for Beppu because I go out much more often.

Really excellent shots that show all their features. I'm dead jealous, you wouldn't believe how difficult they are to get near over here.

Awesome images again! I'm with Phil, you can't get within 20m of these birds when they are here.

Thanks Phil and Mark!
Actually these birds were very wary at first, but after they stayed around for few weeks they gradually became more and more approachable.
