Just a record shot of a Kentish Plover (Charadrius alexandrinus) at Sekino-e last week or two. Didn't know why it hasn't moulted into breeding plumage yet...maybe it's a female bird or a first-year adult. i've only ever seen one Kentish Plover in Japan.......
Oh thought it'd be more common up there!
I've seen several in Saga last Christmas.
