Kite Feeding

Didn't have much time for updating the blog in the recent week, now all the tests and reports are finally done and I'm preparing for a trip to Hokkaido. However, something bad happened because of my own calmness, almost all of the hotels in Rausu were already fully booked as well as in Tsurui village. I didn't expect it to be this tough to compete for a single little room for a night or two...now I'm still regretting on why I didn't book all of them since last month. So for Tsurui...I'll just stay in Kushiro and catch the bus to Tsurui-Ito and similarly for Rausu, I'll stay in another town called Kasugachou which is about 20 minutes away by bus. Not really sure what's gonna happen, but I'll just figure it out when I get there lol
So these photos were all taken sometimes in between the last 2 weeks, I can't really remember. I was surprised when I walked down to the beach and saw a man throwing pieces of bread to the 2 Black-eared Kites which were hovering and hawking above him. The birds came down very close to catch those pieces of bread he threw, it was quite scary actually when I see those sharp claws coming so close to his face. So I just stood by and took the pictures of the kites. In the first pic you can see a piece of bread on its right foot also. Seems like feeding seagulls and pigeons is not cool anymore around here, so now we should change our hobby into kites feeding!

The Kites may be common but they are great subjects. A nice collection of photographs. All the best for your trip to Hokkaido. I'm jealous.

I just had a laugh picturing tourists feeding pigeons and kites in Trafalgar Square, London. If only.
