Yesterday I arrived home and surprisingly found this tame
Great Crested Grebe (
Podiceps cristatus) floating around at the Spa Beach. I immediately ran up to my room, get my gears and came down to take photos. It was the tamest Great Crested Grebe I've ever found around here, but it wasn't that easy to photograph. The bird can dive down into the sea for about half a minute and reappear again somewhere far away from the fist place. I must've looked extremely ridicurous that evening, running after a bird all along the beach. Sometimes it even popped up really really close that I was unable to focus it. Here's the result!
A shame it didn't come close when the light was still good.
Love the hairstyle!
